Headers and Cold Air Intake; for Camrys also?

Postby rapsux2000 » Sat Aug 09, 2003 1:53 pm

I would like to be placed on the list for these parts, but my main question is, will they fit on a Camry of the same year? If they will then I'll buy both the Headers and Cold Air intake. Also when will they be available, and how will we buy them? From you directly or one of your dealers. Thanks for your help. By the way my e-mail address is rapsux2000@hotmail.com. Thanks a million.

Fletch,

Correct, our headers will remove all the cats on the car. We will have an o2 sensor bung for every o2. Once you install the headers you will just plug in your factory o2's into our headers, the o2 bungs are located close to the same spot as the stock manifolds so you dont have to cut or extend any wires.

We took care of the check engine light with our o2 simulator, once you install that you wont have to worry about the check engine light anymore.

So what you are getting is headers where the o2 sensors just plug in (no cutting) and we take care of the check engine light problem so you would never have to worry about that.

This system will not need any fixing or modification of any kind, once you'll get it and install it you would never have to worry about it again. Plug and play.

Once we will have the headers in stock then we will start taking orders for the headers and we will give everyone a specific amount of time to place their orders if they want to get it for this price. We assume that everyone who signed up is able to make the payment as soon as we get the stock however we will keep the group buy going for a few extra days so other can join if they want to. If you wont have the money until mid September then i am willing to hold a set for you as long as you make some kind of deposit on it, that way i can guarantee you the group buy pricing.

rapsux2000,

Once we have the parts we will test fit them on the camry and Avalon as well and we will let everyone know if they fit or not. I am pretty much sure they will fit but you never know.

This group buy is only good if you buy it from us direct, after this group buy you will only be able to purchase our parts from our dealers.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanx. Eyal

Sorry guys. But I can't buy the headers anymore.

Postby rapsux2000 » Thu Aug 14, 2003 2:34 pm

I looked at a previous page and saw that even if your headers will fit a Camry they will still cause you to fail any kind of a smog check. I can't really deal with that, so I will no longer be able to purchase th headers, but I still want the Cold Air Intake, providing it will fit Camrys. I'm truly sorry for the inconvnience.

The CAI also messes with the emissions as well. Flipside said that he failed w/ the Injen shortram.

Ok guys,

The production version of the intake is HERE!!!

Please go to http://community.webshots.com/user/xerd for pictures.

Our intake will be offered in 4 colors, chrome, silver (shown in pics), red and blue. The chrome version will be a little more expensive (dont have a final pricing on it but it will be about $20-30 more then the rest).

The filter in the pictures is not the same filter that comes with the intake, however they will look pretty much the same.

Dyno results we will have by Tuesday night for everyone to see.

We will start taking orders for the intake on Monday so we will be e-mailing everyone this weekend and give them all the needed details.

We will give everyone until next Friday (the 22nd) to join the group buy at the current price, after that date they will have to order our intake from one of our dealers.

The retail price is $299.00 (a little more for chrome), our group buy price is $179.00 and it will never be that cheap again, our dealers wont even get such a good deal so now is really your only chance to own one at this low price.

Thank you to everyone who supported us so far and waited patiently, next is the headers which should be ready soon as well.

Thanx, Eyal

How much road testing have you done on this intake?

I have already produced a CAI for the solara that when it first started looked very similar to yours, one piece. But we had a few problems with it after about a month. You see with the amount of movement our motor has and the postion the filter is in and the weight that it puts on it kept casuing the bracket to break. Im not saying youll have this problem but just wanted tell you about what i have experienced. That is why i dont have mine for sale yet.

That is also why i only offer an extension piece for the short rams, by adding another silicone coupler ads the flexability to compensate for the the motor movement.

I do know your eager to get these out but i just wanted to throw in my two cents.

Good Point

Postby guest » Fri Aug 15, 2003 2:04 pm

That was something that I didn't even think about. I was just thinkingg short term testing. How will these CAI hold on and stay in place after a while? What kinds of long term problems are there with the one piece CAI?
