8/24/08 Elmhurst, IL Toyota Car Show

right now I'm planning on going down I70 to Indianapolis, and take I65 to Chicago.
I think i gonna leave here on Friday afternoon so that i can be there on friday night, but not 100% sure yet.

Mike T will come up on saturday, so i may do the same and drive up together.
if that the case, we'll meet at first exit after I65 leaves indianapolis (one exit after I465?)

anyways, it's just a plan and nothing is set yet.

Turns out I may being heading up to chicago for the whole weekend so I won't be able to meet up for the drive in. Sounds like fun, though.

And, I can definitely vouch for cops in mustangs around here. They've been sporting the new bodies lately and are totally undercover. I still speed like crazy, but then again I've had like 6 tickets in the past 5 years.

I'm hoping to leave Kentucky early morning and meet up with Tact and whoever else wants to roll to Chi-town.

Michigan will have a group ... OK so far it's Damon (CamryonBronze) and I. Let's try to coordinate meeting at the first Oasis in Illinois on I294.
We can work out the logistics timing later.

There is a good chance that I will be making it out, but a TN member and a very good friend mine is having a house party that weekend and I may be in New York for that. Aug. is still up in the air, I just need to see where things will be landing. Pretty much everything in penciled in.l

I havent had to go to Indiana much, but I know what you mean about under cover cars. I remember when they had unmarked camaros. I guess they have retired those and got mustangs. Are radar detectors illegal in Indiana?

Damon, you still bringing what's left of your car? It's a good chance to sell some stuff! You know seats will sell if you can fit them in the back or some other parts.

I haven't seen Jeff on here in a while. I wonder if he's still coming.

I sent an email to Curt Aigner at Elmhurst Toyota. They liked the idea of a swap meet for parts. They will have some tables available.

Spread the word to other forums attending to bring parts for sale. TN, Supra forums, SE (Scion Evolution) ....

The more parts available, the better chances of finding good deals.
