Well install day had come and gone

Well i am now officially boosted!!!! After about 12 hours yesterday I am proud to say that the install went fine, except for a few snags, like the belt that came with the S/C was about an inch and a half to big, nearly missed the closing sign @ AutoZone, LMAO! Not enough vacuum lines, or caps, but other than that everything went down with out a hitch and is running fine, and I have not produced a CEL! I hit 4.5 pounds but of Reg. gas. So I am going to drive around today (not boosting) and get down to 1/2 a tank, get some octane booster and fill up with premium. But I digress. I am happy as hell with the blower!

Here are some pics. I wanted to take more, but I was elbow deep in the car for a lot of the time.

No octane booster, if anything u should run a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank.

id say drive the car till u have 25% gas left (or one mark from empty) and then fill with premium.

is that a 5.5 psi pulley?

I'm going to run the injector cleaner on the 2nd 1/2 tank. I just toped off with 91 so it will still be about a week until I can actually boost. Kind of sucks, but it will be worth it.

I like how you felt you had to explain where the 25% mark on the fuel gauge was... I chuckled a bit

As for the pulley, the guy I bought the S/C from said it was a 4.5 pulley, so that's what I thought it was. I know I am going to have to upgrade some things in the future. I still need to install the EBC, and install my SAFC2. but if the pulley is a 4.5 I don;t believe I have to upgrade anything, only when you hit over 5lbs, correct. Also I was looking at the boost gauge from the pass. seat, so let me fix that, I was at 4.5 not 5. :drinking:

at 5psi, u wont have to do injectors just yet, and possibly not the fuel pump either. but a tune is definitly not something to pass up.

But as it is rite now, u should be fine, just dont rape it too hard..or often, get the 5.5psi if u feel the need (which i know u want to) then get the pump and u should be good to go for a tune.

and sorry about the fuel gauge description lol..i didnt mean to talk down to u if thats what u think i tried to do.

The thought never crossed my mind. i was just giving you s**t

My wife drives it the most right now. she is in the police academy and she cannot have a car with dark tinited windows, other wise she will get in trouble. Since her Camry is tinted out and the Solara is not, I let her drive it. so by the time she is done with the academy I will most likely have the up grades ready to be installed.
