600HP and zero reliability. You can buy a Geo metro and put 400HP if you want, but it will still be a geo metro. Same with a camry..
... You can't compare stock car with $$$$$$$$$ mods car. But with theses $$$$$$$$ somebody could buy a stock car with 100% reliability with the same performance.

come on guys, dont trash the thread with arguing about performance capabilities of a camry. Let the man sell his charger- if you dont like it, dont post.

Its as easy as that.

it's not called $$$$ when people do all their own work....like tony and his 580whp DD camry - which includes canadian winters (with his 18" volks and winter tires haha)

but regardless....there's no point arguing...you stick with your audio stuff, and I'll stick with my engine performance stuff and say that not everybody can know everything about everything.

so...with that said, Adam, just put this up on MR2 OC and let the mr2 guys have a bite at a ported supercharger....the guys with the V6 swaps will drool over this...

This was his daily until he got his Supra... then his IS300...Integra... then his Skyline. I could go on, but I have personally have ridden in this Camry and it sure is nothing to scoff at. As for reliability, he has never had a single problem with any of his cars.

I was not going to jump onto this thread until I saw this.

Adam here I am "licking ass" but good luck on the sale..... I hope you get a bite soon!

If I had da $$$$$ I would drop da dough on a SC. point blank....

Yeah, I would go and get it powder coated.... eventually, realistically, nobody is going to look under my hood unless I want them to. Not saying I won't care what it looks like under there, but it is a RARE complete kit, regardless of who sees it as rare, the fact that it is complete, and completely useable makes it RARE in my book...

Skylines..... awesome cars, too bad they aren't legal in most states....... The Dr made a valid point... to some extent, well, in regards to Skylines, unfortunately, it is up to the seller, and the buyer to determine whether the asking price is adequate.

Performance is nothing but an artistic extension of the driver, come to think of it, you can make a Geo Metro outrun a Mustang.... you can make Camrys that will outrun some Corvettes with the reliability of a stock car (Hail the Tiger Lord!).... But everything comes at a price, and it is the sacrifice made by pioneers in this forum that make it something to cherish, hence the respect earned.

But to jack a thread, and put down the item sold.....not cool, yes, you are entitled to you own opinion, although the spelling is a little off, no biggie! I know my grammar could use a lot of work.
Realistically some things are best kept to yourself, just to avoid the conflict.

I don't know Adam personally, but I have read some of his posts, and he seems like a good guy... so to add my 2 pennies, GL with the sale.
Geeks get it done, while Nerds whimper and call for mommie.

ASG14 wrote:Ok, here it is.

It's a TRD SC unit. Not sure of mileage. It has been PORTED. It was painted by the previous owner, and I've been stripping it off, but I have not finished it. It needs a new powdercoat. Thats the only downside to all this.

I have 2 SC's. This one I got 1st, and had on my car for 2 weeks, and ran it at the Dyno. Stock Intake and Exhaust, and put down about 190WHP. I took it off to strip it and have it re-powdercoated, and put my other one on. I was going to keep it for another project I have been planning, but with gas prices, thats taken a lot of my money as I do a LOT of driving. So if I actually get my ass in gear and get a job, I'll actually do the 2nd project car and get another SC in the future, and prolly end up paying more at this rate. :x

Included:
1 Ported TRD SC (Actuator, pulley, pulley nut, rubber elbo)
1 Type 1 idler plate, with all pulley's (pulley's are good, I replaced 1 that was bad with a good used one I had)
1 Auto Trans EGR Tube
1 Manual Trans EBC (I don't know why 1 is Auto and 1 Manual, don;t ask, I have no clue)
1 NEW alternator bolt from DAWGZ group buy
1 Alternator spacer
1 Rear bracket spacer (Not TRD, I had to buy this elsewhere)
1 Spare pulley bolt/nut
2 new throttle body studs from the dealer
2 EGR studs
2 Idler Assembly to engine bolts
1 Grounding wire
1 Boost Line NEW, never opened
1 Fuel line for the PCV. The way it is stock with the setup, the tube gets crunched. This is harder and longer, so you just route it differently so nothing is crunched.
4 Vacuume tubes. There were 3 the TRD manual said came witht he kit, so I bought the right sizes and cut them to length. I will include more that I got if requested by buyer.
1 Set of 3 TRD manuals for this SC I printed out.

I do not have the bolt that goes through the upper pulley/dogbone mount, but it WILL be included. I just need to go pick one up.

Only thing missing is the Belt. I never got one when I bought this.

PLEASE feel free to ask questions.

If people feel the need, my Ebay ID is 14ASG. If someone local buys it, I'll knock off some money for the shipping if you pick it up, and I'll offer my help on installing it, as I can do it pretty fast at this point.

I'm asking $2850 SHIPPED/INSURED within the continental 48 states. I'll take PayPal (you pay the fee's) or a Money Order. I will ship elsewhere at buyers expense. I have done a mass amount of shipping to other countries, so it;s not an issue for me. And this will be packed well. I'm pretty firm on this price.

~Adam

im not going to threadcap or anything like that but i see both of your points and any OPEN person here would notice that... most of you are fanboys or friends with one another so of course your going to defend your friend (esp one you know in person

dr. Loves point is: when your paying close to what the original retail price is of a unit, it better look damn new.. imagine buying a used solara with the paint fading, or chipped everywhere or primered for near retail then you might OPEN your eyes

ASAG14 point is: its a full unit with everything

personally we paid for a full unit 6 months ago 1/5 the cost your asking.. .. took it off for the seller..

but for the cost your asking most people can go turbo, and get more powergains hell i can swap a new motor in for that amount!!!!..

the only true benifit for this is the California buyers who have smog.. beyond that i think your WAAAY too high esp for the half ass paint removal.. that is lazyness on your behalf..

that is a personal opinion which i am entitled to help potential buyers

Honestly, it isnt much of a deterrent IMO because if you can afford to drop this kind of dough on your car, you can shell out $50-100 bucks to powdercoat a blower.

The bottom line is its bolt on and reliable, as well as discontinued. It would be cool to have a one off turbo kit, but most of us dont have the resources or a local shop that knows well enough what they are doing to install and fabricate one. If you do, more power to you, but a bolt on complete trd supercharger kit is hard to find.

Even despite the paint, Im sure adam could sell this if he threw it on the MR2 boards or ebay. The paint thing sucks, but its a minor setback... I will say I wouldnt want it like that, but itll go...

I think it is overpriced as well. JavaJoe has a pretty nice one I am looking at so I'll pass on this one. There are a few others out there that don't need a $100 powder coat job at the time to do it. Good luck with your sale.
