Sorry....
It will not fit.
You have to cut into your firewall to get it in. After that you will have to cut the center console for the transmission to slide in and the shifter assembly to fit correctly. Chances are you will land on an automatic one so you will need a bell housing which alone is 300 bucks and a r154 tranny which is another 2 to 300 bucks along with a 3-900 dollar clutch setup. Then you will have to re modify the rear end to fit on a LSD differential because if you just run a non LSD, your just plain crazy and you will never get anywhere. Back to the engine you will have to create a solid mount setup since the 1JZ are forge iron cast block which means they are not light.
From there custom custom and again custom work.... Another thing you have to understand the 1JZ is a old OBD1 motor and the wiring is done differently where the ECU is a standalone from the cars power supply... So that means you have to wire the car to where it will work separably.
From there you will have to get a custom forge driveshaft since the solara length will not work with a R154 driveshaft... Forget the getrag 6spd since the solara is too short for that transmission unless your willing to shift from behind your back (exaggerated).
Then you will most likely have to send your ECU in to get it recapped since most 1JZ ecu craps out and thats another 100 bucks..
Custom exhaust piping, and IC piping...Custom drive by wire needs to be made.
You will loose cruise control and you will loose your dash because the 1JZ tranny is a speed by wire not sensor electronic speed sensor...
ummmmm
need more? Can be done but no one does it because in the end..... we aren't rich enough to justify the bill.
How do I know this....... I laid one next to a solara and measured it already.
