The FX35 projectors use a normal D2S bulb with a solenoid that pulls the cutoff shield down for highs.

Ok, so noob question...the HID bulbs I have now, 6500k, I would be able to re-use if I did do this? or are they not compatible? And is the actual projector (the half moon-shaped piece) just something that surrounds the bulb? (very noob at this)

you cant, they use d2s projectors, and those bulbs use a completely diff connection setup than our h4 bulbs.

customlightz said that they include the new headlights for $1000. That's why it's very interesting but expensive.

I saw some mazda 6 projector who use H1 bulbs for $80. SO I would be able to build them with an H1 5000K HID kit. I need to find Solara headlights at the dirty bastards angry dogs without food junk yard. Then it would cost me around $200 + paint + seal + time + lot of pieces to make it fit.. Im gonna think about it..for now I sit on my wonderful leather sofa, watch a movie on my HC and relax, I got a cold lol...

izn trbl will retro pretty much any headlights
and yes, while you have to provide your own lights i actually prefer it
anyone notice my lights are black housing?
this is the cure to everyone's "ebay black housing headlights have bad hotspots" problem, albeit a very expensive cure.

Sh!t. I might have to get these.

But I'm confused. Do I send them my OEM headlights and $700 or do I buy an HID kit first and then send that to them to customize?

send them your headlights, then order the hids they provide. the h4 hids u have now wont work with the projectors they have , totally different setup.

meaning. your own headlights +700.

something I cannot do since my car is a daily.
And I'm not forking out more cash to sell another set of headlights. plus I rarely drive at night so..

I'm curious too.

So Customlightz charges $150 for each headlight assembly?

actually you can keep you existing ballasts
the lights come with their own bulbs
just ask them for a wiring harness so you can use your existing ballasts with your new bulbs

But yeah you do send your headlight

k just got back from another s2k meet. Josh was over there (Izn Trbl) Spoke to him and told him I was willing to help anyone out here whos interested enough to setup up some type of "group buy" or maybe standardize a set.

I gave him the idea that he may be able to just provide the housings and retro it with whatever options you want. EX: chrome/black housings, whatever projectors you want, or if you have your own HIDs allready, etc etc etc.
I told him that I've seen sets of the Ebay black housings and to use those for the retro. Itll be a lot better quality once done since it will be resealed by him and wont leak.

I'm just helping out a friend so if anyone is REALLY interested. PM me. I'm actually going to go by his shop and maybe take pics of the Camry or my S in front to help get interest.

I'm done with my car but hey, just helping out people here since these projectors will be another option some people may wanna get.
