Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

Is this normal for my headlights and fogs to do this?

Funny...With my headlights on the fogs are on.
If I turn on the bright lights the fogs go out.
Switch back to dim and the fogs come back on.

Is that normal?

Question 2
I have a 2001 Solara SLE V6 AUTO.
I am assuming its a GEN 1 but dont know the diff between gen 1 and 1.5.
Please clarify.

Question 3
I have H4 BULBS STOCK?
I have read go with sylvania to make a little better light.
What say you?

Thanks guys.

if you want, you can make the fogs work independently using this tutorial

Question 1: Yes this is normal. I'd recommend the independent fog light mod though.

Question 2: Yes. Gen 1 is from 1999-2001. It has the red and white tail lights. Gen 1.5 has the red, white and amber tail lights.

Question 3: I have Sylvania and they're not really that much brighter or whiter. If you want this, you may want HID.

the only real difference between the 99-01 gen 1 and the 02/03 gen 1.5 are the tails as previously mentioned and the front, the lower lip is a little different and the grille is as well..
