Window tint

Well, my tint shop placed tint over the dots; it's pretty obvious in the sun too, especially considering the dumbass peeled off the same layer of tint over and over again trying to get it to stick, so it's various shades of gray up there. GHEY.

Either have them redo it or tell them to not tint your bubbles. My tint shop was great, after 1 week the air bubbles completely disappeared (gotta love that cali sun). Mine is limo tint on the back i think thats 20% i'm not sure.

I have my "dot-matrix" area of my window tinted and have no bubbling. If your tint person is good, he'd atleast wet sand the area so then it'd have a better adhesion and you can actually press the tint onto the window and it'll come out cleaner.

yeah, they did the same for my rear window. they did a wet sanding (sorta) with some every abbrasive media and tinted over the dots (12%).

There's some imperfections like how the tint sticks around the dots and it looks a little messy looking from the outside but other than that, it looks fine. You can hardly see it. I prefer the dots tinted over than having a tint cutoff line. I've seen that setup on some cars and it looks odd.

I've had my tint for about 6 or 7 years and still looks good.

Yeah same here... I've had my tint for about 6 years and no problems. It's slightly lighter after all this time but nonetheless no peeling or bubbling :D

^^ depends on how your local tint laws are.....i don't know about canadia, but in texas, it's 35% in the front windows, and then 20% in all other windows (except windshield, which is prohibited beyond the AS-1 Line).

if you want dark dark dark, go for 5% (limo tint), if you want difficult to see in, but relatively fine to look out of, then i'd say 15-20%

but make sure you make note of what is and is not legal in your area.

Mine is 12% rear and 50% sides. the sides are illigal in Ca.

I've never been pulled over because my side windows were tinted. It's always been missing front plates, speeding or other things then they notice the windows. so just roll them down before they walk up to you... roll them both down they creep up on the other side sometimes... :D
