Center Console Door Problem

2006 Solara SLE.
The door on the center console, under the radio use to pop open with just the touch of a finger. Now I have to push in the top, and the grab the bottom of the lip and pull up.
Any ideas?

maybe a spring popped out? take it out and check the sides..

Mine is doing that. I took it out and the mechanism that makes the door raise has broken. I hope I can just get that one little pice. As you are looking at the door, it will be on the right side.

basicallt u removed the piece going from in front of the door to the glove box
and then the compartment with the door pulls right out
