back in the day (2000) before we started gettin real parts for cars,

people would cut their spring pearches and add these..
these are coils that go over your regular strut that are adjustable

i know people will talk crap here (since most have been lucky to have parts now a days)

but these were used and at the time the best adjustable suspension setups

eddie habeck had them on his show camry

by now a days standards that is a no no.. but these basically go replace yur spring and are mounted via torx headed bolts (that hold it in place on your strut)
need wheels? www.memoryfab.com - ask for david

Ah a sleeve over setup
actually i know many people still running ground control and rant and rave about it....
perhaps it would be acceptable for a street driven car...

I bought a set from a local guy some time ago, but I haven't tried them on yet...
I thought I should mate it with a set of tokico and give it a try. Do you think it's worth a try? I've only heard people saying they're POS, but never heard them say what they installed them with other than stock struts... Maybe I didn't search hard enough?

well i like the fact that it could probably give me about a 3 inch drop and I am setting these up with tockicos and everyone has it with tien but other than a full coilover is there anything that could drop the ride about 2 inches

I had GC on my accord back in the day and it was incredibly bouncy. The locking screws in the perches also froze and rendered them useless. The only decent part of the deal is that they contracted eibach for the springs.

BTW, a 3" drop on any strut aside from a true coilover will ride like crap and tear your struts apart.

ground control coilovers aren't always bad...but they tend to not be the best for heavier cars

on civics they usually do fairly fine

also, I wouldn't put them on stock struts unless you want a bouncy/floaty ride....with tokicos, I think that they may actually be not too bad since the struts are afirly stiff

I used to have them on my Sebring but you will need aftermarket struts. I used to have them with KYB AGX

I think I'll try them out on the front first when I got some tokicos. (Since I got them already). I think if you have no other huge reason, don't get them, especially at ebay price. Just get Tein/Eibach.

I'll give it a try though, with good struts. If someone here can help me with getting a pair of front TRD struts, that's even better. I heard the TRDs are even stiffer than the tokicos, which should compensate for the floaty feel. (with my fingers crossed)

When I first saw those I thought they were for rebuilds or in the event that you broke a spring on your CO's or something.
