TRD FSTB Question

TRD FSTB Question

hey guys, i just picked up a trd fsb and rsb and am planning to install both over the weekend but my question is:

do i need to torque the fsb to a certain setting/number or just use good ol' fashioned elbow grease and tighten it as hard as i can.

Its recommended that you torque down the bolts yes, especially when you lower the car, for FSB i'm not sure man.. id's till do it. i did it for mine when i lowered my car.

I assume you mean a FSTB (Front Strut Tower Brace) and not an actual FSB (Front Stabilizer Bar)

AFAIK, I'm the only one stupid enough to actually try to install one of those to date! (with Milt's help and a lot of cussing!!) :evil:

yes FSTB i meant...i got my terminology mixed up. the red brace that says TRD lol. sorry im a bit inaccurate with the technical terms...


torque specs anyone?

TRD FSTB Torques

Chris,

My 2004 Solara Repair Manual Vol.3, page 26-3, lists front suspension upper brace (with picture) with a torque of 59 ft/lb. I used this and so far, so good.
