Couple of Q's

Postby JMSinMaryland » Fri Jul 25, 2003 2:34 pm

1. Do you really need to post the list 30 times?
2. To you guys that are getting these products, do the headers void the factory warranty (DavPak??)??

i seriously dont think they are going to be huge numbers from the CAI. Its not the product or anything, but what 5-6 hp maybe? at the most? ive only seen a CAI on a RSX-S give like 10

Yeah that may be true, but I think their CAI will be better than anything we have now.

As long as there are gains with their product, it will be better than any aftermarket intake outthere that sucks hot air from the engine bay.

My friend has the RSX-S and he got 15-20 hp gain, dyno tested. And he's running the 4 cylinder. AEM is the intake i believe.

yes the headers will void the factory warranty on all emissions related components. a dealer will also have the right to void your powertrain warranty too, if they so wish.

Question to Eyal, what is the warranty on the headers themselves? i.e. from manufacting defects etc.

Will our cars fail emission inspections now?

Just to clarify a few things.

These headers are not CARB legal, they remove all cats from the car and are meant to increase the horsepower and performance of the car to the as much as possible. We do not make parts that are CARB certified.

A dealer can tell you that he will void your warranty on any after market product including an air intake, it all depends on the dealership. Just because they tell you that they are voiding your warranty it doesn't mean they can get away with it. There are laws about this kind of stuff, a dealer will have to prove that whatever after market product you have on your car actually caused the specific problem, if they cannot do it by law they have to fix the problem under your warranty.

I think there is a post around these forums somewhere about this issue, do a search.

For those who have to get their car smogged every 3 years, the best advice i can give you is put your factory manifolds and parts back on the car before you go for the test. I dont know about other states but in California we have to smog a car every 3 years.

The warranty on all of our products is a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing defects etc.

Thanx, Eyal
