Need help on 2004 options

Need help on 2004 options

Postby EnglishStock » Mon Apr 14, 2008 1:56 pm

I am currently looking for a new (used) car and the 2004 Solara's are getting strong consideration as I previously owned a 2001 Solara and was very happy with it.

The other day I saw a 2004 which clearly had the 4 cylinder engine in it but was badged as a SLE and had leather and the SLE centre stack. I cannot find anything on the net that indicates that this setup was an available option. I am suspicious / worried that this may be a V6 SLE which was in an accident and had a new engine put in it. I figured that this is probably the best place to determine whether I being paranoid or if this does indeed seem fishy?

Thanks

The Gen2 Solara SLE for some reason was offered in a 2.4L 4cylinder as well as a 3.3L V6. Gen1 Solara SLE's only came in V6.
