ok i want to remove the rims on my car, but there is an issue, i found the jack in the trunk, but have no idea how to get it out, i think theres a screw somewhere in there but dont know where. thats the only think i found in the trunk beside my spare tire...... Gen 1.5 by the way

You try loosening the jack itself?

If I remember, it's closed on the hanger, so you have to loosen the jack.

Just takes some muscle, turn it to the right to expand/raise the jack and loosen it off of the bracket.

When I first had to use the jack I was confused/pissed too because it wouldn't budge, I felt like I was going to rip the whole thing off of the sheet metal lol.

Under my trunk mat, there is a piece of hard cardboard or thin fiberboard that you have to lift up to get to the spare tire.

On the bottom side (facing the spare tire) are little hooks/clips that hold your lug wrench and jack handle suspended over the tire.

Hydraulic jacks make things so much easier.
