black box under hood - what's this ?

That looks alot like mine when I bought it, lol. Is that a COPART lot? I was curious about that box on mine also, and I don't know what you call it, but it beeped when I locked/unlocked my doors if I remember correctly, so part of the factory alarm, I would say, and it doesn't really matter where it's mounted, as it will work wherever you mount it. Good luck, you've got alot of work ahead of you, but it can be fixed.
