thanks Dawgz. what i was getting at was the psi. you could try flushing out all the fluids. and get your injectors cleaned. there could be back pressure on the engine.

No solara came from the factory supercharged. Maybe dealer installed but definately not from the factory.

Does the pulley assembly come with the dynamic tensioner? There is a water pump housing stud that needs to be trimmed to clear the pulley plate/assembly during a supercharger install. maybe it's still too long and is rubbing against the pulley plate/tensioner...

If the SC didn't come with a tensioner then this is the Kazumi model which is the first pulley plate assembly packaged with the SC when it first came out around 1/2001. The dynamic tensioner didn't come out until a year later... Just some random crap in my head that is not even related to the topic... lol

Hey Guys, It took me some time but I finally got a soundbyte on film. Any Ideas on how to upload it to the site? My main concern is when the engine is idling it sounds kind of tractor-like. I don't know if this is what happens on older toyotas or what. I Haven't been noticing any ringing in the past week. So I need an opinion on the idling issue. It sounds like a tractor or maybe like something is a little loose.
Anyway I need to know first how I upload the mpeg movie to the site.
Thanks for your help![/img]

I'd say check the tensioner. I had a tensioner ball bearing go really bad and it produced a ringing...nasty indeed! However, I would perform all suggestions from the fellas recording what you notice after each step. If you just bought it, you might still have chance to get rid of it if things are going sour.
