1) solara = fwd

2) wing = adds a stabilizing downforce to rearend of car for traction purposes (rwd)

3) oem solara 'wing' = more stylish than functional, it keeps the lines of the solara looking sleek and sporty, understated, yet apparent when compared to a solara w/o the oem 'wing'

4) aftermarket solara wing = why would you spend money to make the car less functional and less stylish? the overstatement of a big wing becomes too much (IMO) and ends up coming off as tacky and really hard to make look good (it'll cost way too much money to change the 'lines' of the car to make the bigger wing look good)

my two cents...take it or leave it

Any wing for any of the generation solaras other than the oem ones will not match!!! Aluminum spoiler? This thread should've been posted back in 1998. But everyone is entitled to put whatever they want into their cars. My advice, if you're going to put an Aluminum Wing then you should but pick the biggest baddest bulkiest ones available...Go Big or Go Home!!!!
