Well, for obvious reasons, those are not available in the convertible. Just the one in the seat. Of course, they could have made it bigger.

It's a choice you make when you buy one, just like when someone chooses to drive a motorcycle. It's a trade off...a little less safe, but it's a convertible. :D

I still say if the damn dummy had arms (with shoulders) it would move around in the car differently.

Side crash is and still the major security failure in cars...until they make it like in "Demolition Man", it will be the crash (side crash) I'll be more scared off. The side pillow if somehow weak...I wonder how it is in the hardtop.

I guess Consumer Reports does not find the hardtop worthy of presenting...

The side air bag that pops out from your front seat would serve better as water wings for 2 year olds in an inflatable kiddie pool, but I guess every little bit helps. I got inquisitive and looked at my girlfriends car (Dodge Neon) and she's pretty much OWN'd in a 40mph crash. I also looked at my mom's and sister's cars (a Fusion and Liberty) and they're probably better off than me. My problems are that I drive with my left knee always bent by the dash; I've been trying to change that bad habit but I keep catching myself. Also, I'm 6 feet tall so there ain't a damn thing I can do about my noggin hitting the pillar, moonroof or side window. What I found funny is that the Hummer almost completely takes out the offset barrier and the back seat passenger barely moves during the side impact test (almost looks like the dummy is just leaning to pass gas).
