Need Help, Code: P0135

Postby Americanctm10 » Mon Mar 17, 2008 3:19 pm

On my way back from school today check engine light came on. Got it checked at Autozone.

Code: P0135

Something wrong with 02 sensor. (bank 1, sensor 1)

Anybody have this 02 sensor problem? Called the dealership just to see what they would say, and they said its probably gonna cost $350 plus.

Anybody got anymore info on this, any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

350!?

if ur cali spec, thats a A/F sensor.

That should cost u no more than 230$ from toyota.

If ur Federal spec, thats a o2 sensor, which is like 60 bux....

Ya its reading as an 02 sensor failure. Might be 60 bucks, but they count labor costs too.

I bought it from autozone. It was about 100 bucks. Make sure you get one with the clip already attached so you don't have to do any splicing.

Here is the exact one I bought. It is federal specific for a 6 cylinder.

i've had that code up for about 6 months now. if you neglect to change it, you will be running richer than normal.

brettboy - how long ago did you change yours? i have heard that some lara's had problems with bosch sensors after so many miles. also, did your code pop up after you installed your injen, or was it more of a random occurance?

I changed it about 4-5 months ago. The bosch worked just fine. I have 167,000 miles on my car and the code went off after I cleaned my throttle body.
