Usually, when I throw a code for the egr, it's a vacuum leak.
Just a thought.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

I just thought with that resistor wired into the EGR, you might still fail visual if they see that the the plug isnt plugged in. It would be nice for everyone else though that hates having a CEL like me. :)

As long as I do not have to plug it into it under the dash I am good. That is where they hook up the computer. Other wise it should be good.

its in the engine bay near the intake, but I would think you could find a place to hide the plugs hopefully.

Cool. I would have no problem with that. As long as it is not visible on sight inspection, everything is a-ok #1.

yea thats the only thing that bothers me about it if it doesnt take away from performance. That damn CEL. I bought a handy code reader which i clear it every now and then. BUt i cant imagine having to always do it every 50-100 miles. I need to look into the resistor thing.

it doesn't affect performance

but if you're worried about emissions/safety, and they plug into your obdII to check for readiness, using the resistor won't work, as the ecu then never reads readiness, as the temperature that it is getting is always the same and not going from cold to warm as its supposed to

Same here for florida. i just wanna get everything all squared away for my tune. If it doesnt really affect performance like king says, then i guess im good to go once i get my headers and exhaust in

to confirm- no performance loss, as it's not really engine related. none of the emissions related cels throw you into limp mode- and long story short....if you've ever been in limp mode...you'll recognize it lol

and yes, the resistor will get rid of the cel permanently

but no, it won't make your car emissions ready according to obd scans
