$149 for Spark Plugs!? O_o

I'm about to do a major tuneup. I've done a lot of research on spark plugs and im actually considering purchasing Pulstar Spark plugs. They are considerably more expensive than your OEM but they pay you back in the long run. They run about $24 per plug.

Specs:
OEM Plug: Produces 50w
Pulsar Plug: Produces 1 Million Watts
4 to 12% increase in HP & TQ, burns more fuel, and much quicker ignition due to pulse circuitry.

???

Haha, he gotcha square and fair!

Anywho, its all claims up to this point and probably they don't give a much better cash-worthy performance over Iridium. They has to be a better way to spend $150 and get better performance. After all, they say they get paid over time, but who knows how long these spark plugs and all the technology behind it lasts...

Can't get much better than Denso IK, unless you decide to step down to copper plugs...but the constant maintenence on the copper plugs...

So it's a trade off.

Excellent pick! In the meantime, just keep reading about other people and their Pulstar plugs.

BTW, the webpage sounds like after midnight promotional TVad. I mean, did they have to actually use the 1 MILLION watts gimmick (couldn't they just put something more realistic)?

xALOT for the Denso IK's. I put them in my car and I could tell it was running smoother, much much smoother.

I would recommend these plugs over anything man, Save your money and pick up some Denso IK20's or 22's if you are S/C. I think mine were either 9 or 11 dollars a piece, been a while. 8)

I wouldnt be so dismissed of the pulstars so soon. Might need some people to swap to em and post some before/after dyno results. Preferably boosted setups would notice the most gains. Dsport has dynoed a few vehicles with em and on a g35 I believe they picked up about 5 additional whp.

You have to love and hate advertising... sort of like probabilities and politics. You can tell people anything...

Went to get my Passport documents in today and bought an SuperStreet issue... noticed the add for Pulstar plugs changed! First, I noticed that some of their claims (5 extra HP) were based after a cool down period (not normal). Now they change their ads (mag and web) and don't mention the 1,000,000 watts power output (duh!). Now they dropped to 10 times more powerful (sorry for the big images):

Topic aside, found this too... ain't she cute? :o

HAHA wow!
Funny this was brought back up. I just installed Denso IK20's and I noticed its much quieter and more responsive, hopefully better mpg. Only took me 1.5 hrs to install too.

Im so glad I didnt get the Pulstar plugs.

I guess they would be worth looking into if them spark plugs could ignite very ultra lean mixtures or something...but I'm not gonna try them anytime soon!
