TSB Database

TSB Database

Postby gnegroni » Wed Mar 19, 2008 1:12 pm

Hello everybody,

For about two years I was a paid member in another forum and enjoyed TSB document availability for a while. This provided to be a big benefit at the time of going to work the dealer out for my rightful Toyota vehicle performance. Turns out the database was removed and no longer have access to TSBs without having to bother somebody.

Searching through the net, I found that Toyota offers a subscription service for a TSB, repair manuals, diagrams, trainings, etc., etc... at $10 A DAY:

https://techinfo.toyota.com

I know some people are subscribed to other services, but I really want to know where should I subscribe. I want to stay current. Can anybody let me know where I should point my north towards?

Thanks,

G

I thought Tundrasolutions doesn't have them anymore (I paid there, just didn't want to advertise)... if they brought them back up, can you provide a link?

Crap! Forgot about that... it used to be linked from your "My Garage" page... I just pinged an admin to ask... will report back.

Sorry I also didn't get back to your PM on TS either... I so rarely even check in over there any more - surprised they still have me as a mod! ;)

Just heard back from TS Admin...

TMS was not willing to negotiate a license for to Lon to legally host them on the site.

So I guess we gotta look elsewhere for them now...

G,

The $10 fee at techinfo.toyota.com gives you a full 24 hours to download everything on the site. You'll find the full factory service manual, every TSB ever issued for your car and more for every Toyota produced in the past decade or so.

You could (theoretically) collect the entire library. I call it $10 well spent.

Cheers

Gaget - we have the complete Gen 2 service manuals here in PDF as a sticky already. Just not the TSBs.

If I can locate the TSBs that I had downloaded from TS before, I'll post as well...

If someone can speak to the legality of it all, I'd be happy to set it up here. If it's shady I can host on my personal hosting.

With the new forum software we can host them within a thread accessible only to logged in members with Post count over 25 or something. That way we can keep the Google bots out of there.

Discuss and let me know.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea!

On the $10s, I had the exact same though. However, my primary concern was to stay current...which after thinking it a bit more, how could we be sure in the past if we DID have the most current TSBs and manuals? I guess I will be paying the $10 and downloading the cr@p out of those servers (thinking buffet style here).

Nothing wrong with that. I downloaded every scrap of information available for my two Toyota's plus the Toyota's belonging to two neighbors. As long as you have a wideband connection it'll go very quickly.
