Just wondering...

I have a 06 SE sports and the lip spoiler seems like its coming off... just the left side... cuz i see like the white adhesive thingy on the left side and it's kind of moving.... :(

If in any case that spoiler comes off or something, should i take it to the dealer??? or is it easy to repair it~?

also is there like a way to check if the car was really new or not???
cuz i compared my lara to other laras and my black paint does not look like factory paint for some reason....

the spoiler is an easy fix if its anything like the gen one... which im assuming it is, however if your car is under warranty then id have the dealer fix it.

you arent sure if you bought your solara new or not? easy way to find out; how many miles did it have on it when you paid for it?

are you sure youre not comparing your black to that of a solara of a different year, with maybe a different kind of black? im not sure what years had what paint colors for the gen2's

I'm going to assume that you're referring to the front bumper ground effect spoilers (read: fangs). I think you're seeing the 'protector'--a soft adhesive layer that's between the fang and your painted bumper. Mines been migrating this harsh winter so I'm seeing the same thing peeking out. It's one of those fixes where you can do it yourself with a steady hand but if you're binge drinking on Redbull then have someone else do it. The best thing to do is to take the protector and fang off, clean the bumper surface, replace with a new protector (less than $10 for a strip), realign protector and fang and screw everything back in.

As far as the car's overall color not matching up with someone elses, be careful when comparing. Difference in gloss effects color (more gloss, darker the color, hence wax) and gloss is not easy to compare with the naked eye. And comparing two cars totally separated from each other is never a fair judgement. Lastly, and I'm not sounding sexist, get a woman to compare color. Females have naturally better color perception than men. But don't let that get you down, unlike women we men can pee our name high on a wall. Women can only make little Japanese characters. :P (I know, I'm going to hell.)

spoiler coming off?
how could that happen?
i know it use double side tape to stick the spoiler
but there should be two screws the secure spoiler to trunk as well...
remove the trunk lid's inside cover, and double check if the screw is lose
