CP-E Facilities

What up everyone, i visited CP-E today and pretty was taken on tour of their shop, I introduced myself as well as got to know everyone there at the shop. I sat down and had a long talk with Josh, he is the guy in charge, he showed me intake systems for gen 2's, how they make them and everything, all the electrical stuff is done their as well, for the MAF that is.

We were talking about possible setups for my car, what would need to be done to make it into a hell of a machine and in the end it was talk about a hell of a lot of money. But as we continued to talk he was telling me how when they first came out with the maf system for the lara that they expected it to take off better than what actually happened, which is the reason why they will only be making maf for the solara's from now on.

Our cars just did not generate enough hype ( which we all know by now), but he also told me if i some how got my hands on and EVO X, he would tune it out completely, from exhaust to intake to headers, you name it and they would do it for my car, the EVO's are the shizznitt right now, he told that he would do it all for free and they would do all work and in return, i would appear at a show here and there but basically just drive it around so everyone could see it, CP-E is still in the beginning stages but they were generally a bunch of cool people.

He also told me that if enough people were generated he would do Y-Pipes and or Turbos for the gen 2, but i plan on looking around for EVO X's in the meantime, I don't plan on getting one but it does not hurt to look, i am keeping my solara, but if i were to get my hands on a EVO X..... :D

But yeah, i was a good day today, i just wish i had money to invest in this EVO project, but hey, life is a trip......later

Pretty cool bunch over there huh? I know they've come a long way since I was there for the proto. Wish we could have done more business with them but I'll be tapping them this spring to see if they'd make a MAFci tune map for the JPP headers. They still owe me a bit and if I tempt them with swap sales possibilities and a little $$ on top, maybe they'll buy in.

Really, wow, when were you down here, but yeah, they are pretty cool people. They are about to finish making MAF system for 2004 solara, so i am going to go get one in about two weeks when they are done.

I also want to talk to them about possibly making something that can make it easy for me to swap between stock and maf system as far as the wiring goes, so i dont have to un wire and re wire. So when i need to take my car to the dealer when problems arise it will be easy for me to swap out and swap in.

but yeah when you talk to them include me send me a holla or something

No wiring needed to swap back and forth. You just need one jumper wire that is used to bypass the "customizer" chip. They'll show you.

Just a note...

Josh was a "straight up" guy when I dealt with him on my tuneable CP-e. The unit is a "class-A" product, and the performance results back it up. Mine has been SCREEMING on my 'lara for over 25k miles now, with NO CEL and GREAT performance from day one. The price was a BARGAIN for the gain and pleasure the car has provided since.

Kudos to the CP-e guys. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone.
