8/24/08 Elmhurst, IL Toyota Car Show

Well if you wanna drive a couple hours south & meet up, then drive back to Chicago - you're certainly invited!!
I got pics of your car & i hung out with Reg and s15lara (i think) for a bit.... where were YOU? LOL!!

If everyone shows there will be a pretty good lookin solara class - those scions sure dominated last year!!

i was near bone stock last year.. im the red car next to the white gen 2. (on the left of it).. all i had was 17s at the time hahaa and the renova grille. and gauges... and trd exhaust, but nonetheless.. near bone stock lol..

Im up for what ever! I plan on coming in Saturday afternoon to allow me to check in to a hotel and get the car washed. BTW is there any registration that we need to fill out to be in the show? When we going boating lol!

nope . you pay when you drive in. it's worth it. I thin kit's like 30 bucks.. yeah its kinda steep just like HIN but, you get like food, and fun times, and a free roast in the sun.

Dammit man - im beginning to feel like i'm one of the few non-sc'ed 'laras in the midwest! Had to pass up a sweet TRD kit last year to buy the engagment ring, and had to pass up a couple s/c sales this year to save for the wedding!!
At least i know you guys will be able to keep up with me....

If you don't want to show, you can drop your car across the street to just come in and hang out. Last time I went, I just paid and didn't fill out the judging form. (With Tact, Brian, and Reggie around there just was no point) I just go for the party and to check out the rides.

sorry to bring this back from the dead for now.
I was talking to solorange about this and was wondering if any guys besides me and him (and most likely s15lara) would want to do a photoshoot after the show? possibly grab some food and drinks too?
I just figured I'd ask since a lot of you guys would meet up before the show possible a day or so prior to the event because of HIN, but what about after ?

What time does the show start for Elmhurst? My guess since its a 6hr drive for me Ill be coming in Saturday afternoon and will be up for hanging out all night. Then going home after the show sunday.

hmm. i wish i had a solara =[ do u guys kno if there is an avalon area? lol. my car IS bone stock except for my head unit =/ eh avalon/solara close enough lol.
