I ain't a Honda boy and/or ricer, but I painted my dash console trim around the AC and stereo black, to match the exterior. I don't like wood trim.

Black is not exactly what I was referring to. Yours looks great.

Just wondering, why would you paint something black when it already comes in black?

Because it wasn't black. It had wood trim. I have the SLE Solara. So I painted the center peice and shifter gate black and pulled the trim around the vents and such.

you can just peel the "wood" off... its a sticker...

The wood trim line on the door, going to the front is the only stock wood on the 99-01. Any extra wood trim is not a dealer option at all, just aftermarket decals. This includes vents, doors, center console, etc.

Stock center console trim is matte black plastic on all 99-03s.

By the way... i just noticed, the gray dashboard color goes not only around to top of the doors, but its on the top of the backseat wall as well... basically goes all around...
