Again, while looking on cardomain, I saw a red solara with a quite interesting interior that I wanted to share with all you guys. I would want to do something like this on my Lara, but in black.

Yeah that looks really nice in my opinion. I actually emailed that guy back when I painted my interior silver. Check out my Car Domain.

Let us know how it goes if you tackle that project.

What would you use to paint the dashboard? and as far as removal... I don't really see it happening...

I'm not a fan. All black leather with simulated dark cherry wood trim.

i sorta like it as long as you get another combination of colors that will blend in with each other not a big fan of fruity colors like red for interior leather :-?

I like it. For some reason I think it just looks good.

It's becoming a trend in recent cars. The new Chevy Malibu is really pushing their orangey-tan and black interior scheme.

It's way better than the Honda kids who randomly remove trim and spray paint it the color of thier car. Atleast this guy has some taste by adding silver to transition between one color to the other.

Kudos to those with the cajones to try something new.

I wouldnt do it red on my car... because my car isn't red... it's black, so i would much rather have a black dashboard, than the gray? colored one that comes stock. The tan i would leave.. but the dashboard, and the top part of the doors, (just above the wood trim) I would make black. And then maybe change the wood trim to similar silver, to partially match the chrome outline of the windows.

...OH the possibilities!!

I ain't a Honda boy and/or ricer, but I painted my dash console trim around the AC and stereo black, to match the exterior. I don't like wood trim.

Black is not exactly what I was referring to. Yours looks great.

I meant something like this (on a flat black primer car)

(Please note that it didn't take me 3 minutes to find a Honda that fit my example)

Take your car to a hot rod custom shop. They should be able to do custom upholstery. Your not really suppose to paint your dash. They spray a special glue onto your dash after they sand it and custom stretch new leather or what ever material you want on it. As for the seats they will have to custom make them too. The result is very clean.

Again custom hot rod shops do this. A lot of the supra guys do this too since the supra are 10-20years old.
