Stereo display light out.

Hello everyone. Quick question: my stereo display (specifically where it displays the track #, radio station) is not lighting up. It still displays the track but the back lighting is off. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

You're talking about the stock stereo right? That's kinda odd since the last time I took apart those radios I noticed it was mini-LED... I could be wrong though; if it's traditional bulb, you can get them at the dealership for about $0.70 each.

It seems to be little LEDs, just like on the "LED scanner" that some guys have (like me).. I opened the front plate of my radio 3 months ago o see how it's made, and it's seems like a little rectangular LED with the ugly green color on it. hehe.

if all the background LEDs are dead, you must change of radio, if only one is dead, then it will be impossible to find the exact same LED with the green color on it, you must then do a little mod and change all them to make a nice fit..no? I warn you, these little LED are hard to solder, I have some "free samples" (blue LED), maybe try just just me to get "free samples" of LED by a request (and say that you are a potential business buyer). When I was an electronic sudent, I got for about $1000 of free samples!

This may be a little late, but I've been searching for the answer to that question, myself, and found this http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showt ... back+light
