TWM Short shifter = HEAVEN!

After the 2nd day with the shortie, I cant believe I waited......this thing is awesome, I can NEVER go back!!....I recommend everybody get one of these ASAP!!
And as far as the shift knob.....Im pretty content with the OEM one for the time being.

Mine came with my shifter cables when I did my swap...

BUT they should be the big ones, yes. Our shifter cables have one big one.

You can also send speed-source an e-mail to confirm. But it also says right there that for the 94+ camry and solara you need the big ones, and since the 4banger and V6 ones are the same....they should be the right ones.

i had the weighted greddy shift knob on my TWM ss and absolutely loved it!!! i wouldnt have gone any other way.

+2 for the TWM short shifter, it really makes a difference to the feel of shifting. Throws are much shorter, and feels sportier.

I'm gonna try the bushings next, for the longest time, I didn't know they made it for the Solara.

Not to rub it in, but the manual transmission on a 6 cylinder engine is the reason I bought the Solara. At the time, the only 6 cyl cars with man trans were the

Toyota had the best quality reputation, so thats why I bought it. Today, Toyota doesn't make a 6 cyl manual. In fact, no one does. Thats a shame.

how do you install the cable bushings, i was looking on the speed source website and the link with the instructions wouldnt work..

It didnt come today.....

so I couldnt tell ya 100%....but I know you have to remove the air box from the throttle body and the bushings will be staring you right in the face....then I guess you pull the clip off and pop the old bushings off....put the new ones on and use the clip supplied in the kit instead of the OEM one.......
When I get them, I will have a better idea and will be sure to relay the info :sweet:

Dang - it used to be that you couldn't get a V8 with a manual tranny after the mid-80s and now its V6s? What's up with this country anyway? :roll:
