19" Rim Tire Fitment

19" Rim Tire Fitment

Hi,

This is a repost from Toyota Nation and though I'd ask here as well.

I just bought a used set of 19"x8.5" RH C5 rims and was wondering what tire size would fit best. It has a +38 offset and am planning to use spacers (Not sure what size yet). I have JIC Magic FLT-A2 coilovers in my 2000 Solara.

Which tire size should I get?
235/35/19
245/30/19
245/35/19

Here are my thoughts on these sizes.

The 235/35/19 would probably work best since the actual thread is thinner than the rim's width and the sidewalls stretched inward. Less likely to rub.

The 245/30/19 would cover the width of the rim better with thinner sidewalls. No stretching required and would probably give the same over all hight as the stretched 235/35. Will probably need to roll fenders.

The 245/35/19 Largest of the 3 specs - almost 1 inch taller than a 245/30/19. Might just be too big.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

235/35/19, 2-5mm spacer for the rear to clear the CO and you are going to have to roll your fender.
Didn't you get my pm back?

Thanks. You just answered my main concerns regarding fitting these rims.

Did you use spacers for the front as well?

I never got your PM.
