srs light

So last week the SRS light comes on. and the airbag on/off light reads off when a passanger was in there.

I took it to the dealer. they said error code was B1650 which means that the SRS ecu isnt receiving information from the scale on the seat. dealer thinks that it is a short in the harness. $350 to diagnose/fix worse case. change the seat $4-5k! after that was said I picked up the car and tried to check the connectors and disconnect the battery thinking it would clear it all...

It didnt work~ so now Im wondering what you guys can come up with? before i go bend over for the dealer.

thank Again.

Oh, and go to another dealer. Shame on them for not checking the TSBs first.
