Tail Light Replacement?

Tail Light Replacement?

Postby ChrYstiE » Mon Jan 28, 2008 7:44 pm

My tail light sensor went off, and I'm pretty sure it's my rear right light. How easy is it to replace? The light went on a few months ago, but went off after a few days, and now it's back. (A testament to what a piece of crap my solara has been)

Anyway, is it easy to replace or should I just have the retards at Pep Boys do it for me? I am not too handy, but I did replace the license plate light with no problem.

how many solaraGIRLS does it take to change a lightbulb ?? .. we shall find out.

jk. it's very simple pull out black clips, find the bulb that's out, twist out bulb out of the housing, then pluck out bad bulb, then put it back in, not hard at all...

Dang Jeff.

Find out which bulb it is first.
As in have someone press on your brake pedal, and then you go to the rear of the car and check which brake light is out.
If none, turn on the signals and check which of the 4 are out [front and back] if none, then turn on the corners lights and see then.

Replacin' them is a breeze you just need to take out the plastic trims and you'll be set.

If you haven't done it yet, just remember: You do not need any tools !! If you think you need a wrench or screwdriver, you've taking out the wrong part!!! All those plastic screws are designed to be twisted with your fingers or a penny.

same thing happened to me 2 years ago at exactly this week from snow/ condensation.
