i just purchase a remote for 2002 SLE from ebay it came with instruction. i follow it step by step but the lock doesn't recycle(trying for like an hour or so). i look around and came across OKANG instruction, so i follow that n the car seem to response to it n recycle the lock/unlock but then when its time to set the remote nothing work(tried for another 30 or so). so i should i do?

Is the remote an OEM Toyota remote?

yup 3 button lock,unlock,trunk panic in the back. i hope that its the battery, gonna take it to the radioshack 2morrow so they can check it out.

It took me 1,5 hrs to program mine! So don't panic.

FOr me the solution semmed to use another instructions...


near the end of the instructions.. you need to enter the key and turn the key (but not start),do it twice!! (not one time like the instruction ask to do)

I saw this moddified instructions here on solaraguy and it worked for me on second try!!

i followed this instruction and the car seem to reponse cuz it lock/unlock 2 time like he said it should but the remote idk nothing happen.

finally got it rite stupid ebayer sold the the remote with no battery :x . went to radioshack n bough 1 for 5 bucks pop that hoe in ran outside in the parking lots and start programming. 5 minutes later tada all button work. lock/unlock/trunk/panic. :drinking:

hehe yes, always check battery first!!

Nice to hear that all is working fine for you! Mine is a 99 SE, so no trunk button, I bought it brand new for less then $15, works like a charm! I almost can't live without it now!
