Horn doesn't work!! Please help

Postby DrLove » Sat Jan 26, 2008 12:05 pm

Hi guys,

FOr 1 week now my horn doesn't work. I don't care really much because it's not essential, but I want it to work, just in case, for security reason.

I hear the relay doing "clic" when I push the sterring wheel.
Also the 10A fuse is ok.

Then I changed the horn itself, by a brand new one, still no horn working!!

It might be the cable somewhere..??

I tried a little with my super tool to see if there is "juice" in the cables.
It's a little tool who buzz when a voltage is there (no need to touch the cable directly, just be close).
It seems that there is no "juice" who is coming out the "fuse and relay" box near the battery for the bunch of cable who is going to the horn.

Somebody had the same problem here??
I don't know if it is possible to open the "fuse and relay box" to access inside the box itself.

I need to say that the second horn (passenger side, near the windshield) is working when the factory alarm is buzzing.

Hmm. Thats odd. Just a little something here, I'm not sure about Canada if the horn is required in an inspection but just incase it is and yours still isnt working you can pull a horn from another car, run a wire to switch, ground and then to the battery. I had a setup like that in my old truck. Hope you get this resolved quickly. 8)

if you dont see it light up, than it should be fine. i was suspecting it is your steering cable reel, but it doesnt seems as the case.
