factory alarm on a 2004 SE

I have a question about the security system, I'm unsure if my car has a alarm as i just realized now it is the base model.
I pressed the panic button and it goes off, so if i dont have an alarm hooked up is there anyway to hook up something like http://reviews.cnet.com/car-security-sy ... 48136.html
just the sensor to the car and not have to do the whole get rid of OEM remotes and go after market all the way. I'd like to keep it simple..
THanks for all your help

I dunno... couldn't find much info on it...

How does it work? Where does it mount? Is it plug-n-play with OEM?

i'd 1st make sure you have a factory security system or not. roll the drivers window down, close all drs, trunk, hood and hit lock on the factory remote. wait a minute or so, then reach in the vehicle and unlock the car from the manual unlock switch and open the door. if the horn sounds then you have the security system.

Copeland,

If you 'do' have a factory alarm (check your owners manual) then you 'can' install a simple motion sensor like the one you linked to.

Installation is simple, you'll find specifics here: http://gadgetjq.com/solara/motion_sensor_install.htm

Cheers
