Arctic Frost Pearl

Arctic Frost Pearl

Postby Black Bob » Mon Jan 14, 2008 3:16 pm

Is it me or can you NOT get the Arctic Frost Pearl to be gloss-licious as the other colors after a wax job? I'm looking at Prodigy79's black, dripping, lucious, money-shot shine after everyone of his posts and I can't attain that on somethun' pimp white. I use, and always have used, Meguires Gold Class wax because I think it gives thee best reflectance of my ugly mug. But with with this Arctic Frost color it's like the white sucks in all the light and gives nothing back. Like a black hole .....but white.

And before any comments sure to be made---yes I buffed it before I made my determination.

I know what you mean. Light colored cars just don't reflect as good as dark colored cars. I don't think there's really anything to be done about it.

I beg to differ. Under florescent light, I think a white car always looks better. However, under sunlight, black does reflect more, and will always look glossier.

When my wife had her 'lara, we'd clay bar it. After that a good wax and it'd shine really good. Maybe some clay bar action would help.

My work garage, and my car garage both have florescent light in them. My car spends most of its time in one of those two places.

Plus, most car showrooms, are lit with florescents.

Anyway.......I love my cars shine.
