Tire Pressure Sensor

Tire Pressure Sensor

I have a 2004 SLE, which recently got into an accident, and i had to buy a new wheel for it. I bought the wheel used, and i know the car has some sort of tire pressure system. Is supposed there a sending unit on the rim somewhere, or is the pressure calculated some other way.

there are no sensors in the tires or rims themselves
basically the car sees if a tire has more or less pressure than the other tires it will spin less or more and thats how the car figures u have uneven pressure
