Tokico because they're stiffer (according to everyone here, anyway).

I would go with Tokico I've heard a lot of good things about them on here and other places. Never heard anything about KYB.

heres a 3rd party website comparing all brands:
http://www.carreview.com/cat/suspension ... 80crx.aspx
i vouch fot KYB gr-2 since im selling two fronts i bought and dont need them:
copied this from an old discussion about these:
the KYB struts are used about 5k i got both of them from another member here for 110 (80 bucks new each) i think he got coilover upgrade. seems fair to me. i am loosing money but not biggie to hook up a sg members.. and make some of the money back.
heres a tire rack link so you can compare price:
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/Susp ... &brand=all
and the trd springs used from yet another member for 100..im in no hurry to sell thyre in storage
i bought them thinking it was all 4 struts(noobie mistake)
i have # 334245 and #334246

i have kyb gr2 and eibach on my 94 camry a couple years ago, and the ride was harsh due to stiffer spring

and recently i bought the tokico for my 99 solara, kept the oem spring, love it, ride stiffer, no floaty feel, and stick to ground, but yet not harsh at all.

I'll stick by my kyb's any day. However, I wanted to keep the OEM ride as much as possible.

Did anyone have any problems running the Tokico's with the factory springs? I do not want to lower my car but I would like a little more stability while going around bends.

that is the setup i have now, i do recommend changing the struct mounts and struct boots, and the rubber insulator where the spring meets the strut as they should be worn as well.

it doesn't lower the car, but stiffen the car a little bit, just feel like drivign a new car.

here is MY personal rating from 0 to 10, where 0 being soft/floating, 10 being harsh/stiff

oem spring + oem struct = 2
oem spring + tokico = 6
eibach spring + kyb-gr2 = 10
eibach spring + tokico = 9

eibach spring very good for corning, but too stiff for me as a daily driver
