washing is fine as long as you dont use detergent or dish soap. but realistically, just leave it alone for 2 weeks. it wont kill you.

What he said! You're getting it painted, it isn't going to be dirty!

Wait at least 2 weeks. My guy has always said to wait 30 days before waxing of any kind. You can hand wash as said above but don't take it to a car wash. It won't melt if you can't clean your car for 2 weeks or more.

alright, its a black car, so I'm used to it being dirty. I can deal with 2 weeks. Thanks for all the info I will see if there is any place I can park it since my place doesn't have a garage.

Post some pics once it's done. I was thinking about getting mine painted and $550 seems like a decent price.

My car is back now! she is sitting in my driveway once again. From what I could tell tonight (got home with her at 8:00) the paint looks great. The trunk really looks nice not being all fked up by stupid kids who like to steal symbols . I will post pics tomorrow when the sun is out. 8)

alright I was going to wash it today, and its been done since about last Tuesday, the 8th of January. My car should be O.K as long as I use car soap and soft microfiber cloths with low pressure water right?
