It's cheap. The surface area of the K&N replacement filter isn't quite as much as a SRI filter, but it's close enough for me! I'll pay money for a CAI, but not for a SRI.
SRI is cheaper than a CAI. CAI is something you'll have to do yourself like Tacti and Sebastian did by moving your battery. You won't hear any audible difference with a K&N drop-in filter or if you remove your acoustic dampener.
And replacing a cone filter in the long run costs the same as replace the drop-in filter with the SRI or CAI...but with CAI you need to purchase a hydro shield most likely prevent it from getting wet..
