Driver side door will not close

When I try to shut my driver side door on my 99 solara it won't close. It won't latch at all. It is very cold outside but has never had this problem before in the cold. What do you think is wrong?

Use duct tape all around your door :D no jk. Hope your problem is solved but get some sort of liquid lube and spray it on the locking mechanism. Good luck.

dude, did you wash your car or did it rain then freeze recently? ive had this happen (after a car wash last year) and in my friends 7-series... let your car sit with the defrost and heat on high for a bit... itll thaw out.

Isn't WD-40 bad for locks in the winter? I thought it was not a good thing to use.

use silicone grease! it is I did on my car for he doors, trunk, hood mecanism and it worked pretty good..it doesn't be wash with moisture or water. You can buy spray lock de-icer and put some on the lock mecanism too. I did that on my car and now the lock and mecanism is working just like in summer but it's an hard winter here in Canada.

it is anti-rust,heat resistant,water resistant, multi-use.. a nice product.

I have never seen "bad" and "WD40" in the same sentence before, except as a adjective to rust.
