I know there are threads with wheel fitments and tire sizes, tire calculators, etc and I have found all of those very useful from searching, as well as the help of my daddy milton. I did however see that a few other people are or have run 225/40/18 tires with 18x8.5 wheels with a +40 offset on gen 1 solaras. From what I read and what Milt tells me the rears will rub on my coilovers and I will need a 5mm spacer out back... however, the tire and wheel calculator said everything would clear. I personally trust milt more...

That being said, is anyone out there running this setup right now? Any words of experience or wisdom for me before I roll the fenders and go through with this? Just curious to hear if anyone else is running a similar setup right now and what you went through to make it functional. Thanks for any help you may have.

im running

225 40 18

18x8.5 with 35 offset.

its is very tight near the wheel and the strut.

i cant even fit a finger in between.

so the +40 would be pushing it.

Remember, you have Coilovers which have shafts that are are thick as my cock, you are not in stock mod anymore Dorothy.... hence the 5mm spacer for the rear.... (And sometimes its for the aesthetics of it all).
