you can get yellow film to overlay on top of the oem fogs. this will give the yellow look during the day as well. jeff is right, the 3k HIDs will do the same if you wany uniform look during the day but the yellow light output. a few members have done both of these mods.

you can buy a whole new set from ebay...i have one now and the quality is oem fit...also, use the real 3000k hid kit and not one of those cheap yellow bulbs for $15.00...

a set of nice yellow bulbs like nokya or luminics will give the desired effect without glare... you dont have to go with an HID kit in the fogs, but you can.

I just tinted my fogs with yellow film about two weeks ago, and I bought my film from a fellow SG member "indiglosolara". Once you put the film on you won't need to waste the money on the yellow bulbs.

^^ even if i want it really really really REALLY yellow? :D

i figured the yellow bulbs would be a second step anyway.... the tint would be done first, and if it looked good at night then i'd just keep it w/o yellow bulbs...

BTW, did you buff the fog's before applying the film, so as to have a crystal clear yellow look; instead of a foggy/pitted yellow look (during the day)? and also, did you remove the fogs from the bumper, or did you apply the film w/ the lights on the car still?

i'm hoping to get the taillights and foglights tinted sometime this month (or next), and wanted to ask which way was more favorable during application.

I did have the yellow nokya's not to long ago and they did look good but the didn't last me that long (about 8 months) so I figured I would try something different and save money by putting in regular bulbs and it's alot more yellow now.
Yes I did buff the fogs before I put the film on to get them smooth and clean. Yes I did remove the fogs from the bumper because I figured it was easier.
For tinting my tails I used the niteshades spray and I am very happy with the way they turned out. But I think there are some members here that used the tint film.

^^ i remember you telling me you used the nightshades spray when i asked about taillight tinting. i've decided to go w/ sebas's recommendation and do them with 20% tint, and then i'm going to cut out the reverse light portion. i figure, since i'm already ordering the taillight film, i might as well make it one large order and get the yellow film too.

when you yellowed your fogs how big was the sheet of film you used to cover the surface (each)?
4"x8"?
7"x8"?
6"x12"?

it's raining right now, otherwise i'd just go outside and measure it out myself.

I had a 12"x15" sheet and it was more than enough for both lights so you should be ok with two 7"x8" sheets.
