Hi guys...

I would like to know if some of you did a LED conversion on the taillights for the Gen1? I don't wanna buy the LED bulb.

I would like to make a "LED ring" a little like on infiniti G35. I thnk it's the right time to do this because I get water on my taillights so anyway I will need to seal them!

I saw this product from hella

Im waitting the reply from the company...to know where can I buy that in Canada and how much $$..

Somebody ever saw a kind of ring or circle chrome plate with leds in circles made to do custom taillights? Im trying to find better and cheaper!

I saw also another product...this one is plug and play.. no DIY.. Somebody have seen that on a car? but at $50 each it's expensive for a 3157

Maybe Im better to find a chrome circle and put red LEDs around and fit them on the taillights? I saw wide angle led's..or I can use superflux leds..I saw somebody who did it with theses leds..4 circles..it was nice..

Maybe the lexus taillights would fit on the lara? lol

Check out this guys retro on his Camry! Pretty good work, it sucks that the pics aren't very good though. But, they do look bright as hell!

I saw this mod for the Camry. It's reallye asy to do but our taillight are "semi-transparent" and the camry are not. I guess that we would see the board inside the taillights.. so that's why I dont wanna do it like that. or I would use the "superflux" LED (the square LEDs that you see on the camry's mod) and put them all together, this way you can,t see the board, and I would put some chrome paint on the board before to solder the LEDs.

Im gonna think about it. Yesterday I was watching my taillights and realise that there is not so much space for the "brake" section because of the reserve and turn signal.. In my souvenirs, I was able to put a big LED ring there..hihi..

It surprise me that nobody here did a LED conversion.. maybe Im gonna be the first one!

You could cut a circuit board to the size of the brake light area....
