Lowbeams not working

Lowbeams not working

Postby nemoxfishy » Tue Nov 13, 2007 11:47 pm

I installed the HID kit not long ago. Worked fine. However, now they dont work ... highbeam works fine tho. only the lowbeams doesn't work. WHY? both high and low beam comes out from the same bulbs. and they ARE working. so i noe its not the bulbs or ballast problem .... i checked all the fuses and they are fine. does anyone noe which wire the switch beside the steering wheel controls ? (+ or -) in other words..... wen i turn on the lowbeam switch, does it open a ground or does it give my bulbs power?

you have a gen 1 right? Did you get a Hi/Lo kit? or a regular H4 bulb (non Hi/Lo)?

yes i have the gen 1 ...and i got the hi/low kit.......
i swapped the stock halogen bulbs in this morning, thinking that this might be the HIDS problem..... but same thing.... lowbeams doesn't turn on manually. However, i plugged bak the light sensor at the passenger side and my lights will turn on automatically at night .... but i still want to solve my problem... =[
btw.... my stock alarm is burnt and melted ....

something shorted.. you will have to trace over the wires you installed and inspect the other wires aftermarket.
