hey can anyone please tell me when do you have to change your timing belt on a 2000 v6 solara? also what maintence you have to do on 90k?

Also is the engine vvti on the 2000 solaras?

Replace engine oil and oil filter
Replace engine coolant
Replace engine air filter
Replace timing belt
Rotate tires
Inspect the following:
Ball joints and dust covers
Brake lines and hoses
Brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
Differential oil
Drive belts
Drive shaft boots
Exhaust pipes and mountings
Fuel lines and connections, fuel tank band and fuel tank vapor vent system hoses
Fuel tank cap gasket
Steering gear box
Steering linkage and boots
Transmission fluid or oil



Additional Maintenance Items for Special Operating Conditions:


Driving on Rough, Muddy or Snow-Melted Roads
Inspect nuts and bolts on chassis and body
Towing a Trailer or Using a Camper or Car-Top Carrier
Inspect nuts and bolts on chassis and body
Replace automatic transmission fluid
Replace differential oil
Replace manual transmission oil

That is a nice list... and No vvt-i on the gen1-1.5 for the 6cyl, no on the 4cyl 99-2001, yes on the 4cyl 02-03.

At 90k I would do:
plugs (if not done at 60k)
plug wires (if not done at 60k)
timing belt
water pump
drive belts (serpentine)
cam seal
crank seal
distributor o-ring
and a few other things,

Also I recommend a complete fluid flush every 45k including
brake fluid
trans fluid
engine coolant
power steering fluid
so at 90k this should be your 2nd time doing it.
