Hi guys i wanted to know what are the different between these two? I know that the plasma booster is cheaper then the MSD itself...are there any advantage over one or another?

See their web-sites for details. I've had both and now run the Plasma booster.

any particular reason why u made the switch?

It's easy to install. No repeat failures and most important it does not have features that you can not use anyway. Why pay an additional $200 for functions your can not use.

Got the car back today. New tranny mods are a sweet improvement.

What exactly are we discussing here? Just aftermarket ignition boxes or what? They amplify the spark or something?
