I was curious where in the firewall do you run the nylon tubing thru to the s/c. Is there a preferred spot to poke thru? Pics would be nice. Thanks-

unless you got a drill with a bit, and a unibit. then i'd suggest you PM yanks0114 for pics. there's a perfect spot to drill a hole on the driver's side, but ross (yanks) fed his wires through the passenger side firewall grommet.

btw, this is in the WRONG SECTION... :P

LOL, no one has grasped the concept that the DIY section is for tutorials ONLY.

If you are running the boost gauge I actually wouldn't reccomend running it where i ran my 4gauge wire. They provide a gromet with a hole in it which im sure you can either drill a new hole for it to go in, but I actually think that there is a preexisting hole that you can just go through

well, if that's the case, and you need to drill a hole Astro, then i'd recommend to drill the hole on the driver's side.

if you look under your dash, just above and to the LEFT of your BRAKE pedal is a fat propellor-looking rubber piece that is part of the entire rubber that covers your firewall.

1. tear that fat propellor piece out, it's easy.
2. behind that you'll see the firewall. there will be a circle there on the firewall.
3. drill a hole in the middle of the circle.
4. using a unibit, bore the hole out to fit the grommet provided.

DONE!

Sounds good. :D Well, now I know where this post would go! It just makes more sense to put it in DIY, but I guess I see what you mean about being for tutorials only-sorry.

btw, I think it would be cool to have some gauges up on top of the dash like the '04 Solara.

thanks

I used the boost port on the s/c'er itself. to the right of the TRD emblem.
get a fitting that fits into it & run your line.

LOL! EIGHT YEARS, no less!!!

...funny... MOST of the time, we tell people to SEARCH... then when they DO search and pick up on a past discussion... we tell them to START A NEW THREAD!

In cases like this where there's no way you'd expect anyone from the thread to be around or remember, best to start a new thread and reference the old one. Rather than asking the people of the past, ask the SG's of today.
