I contacted this company they manufacture coilover systems.
This is the email I got from them.
This is what I emailed them
I just saw your ad in Honda-Tech and I was wondering if you only make coilovers just for Hondas?
I have a 2004 Toyota Solara and I’m looking for a set of coilovers. I know that TEIN makes a set but they are a bit pricey.
I belong to a Solara forum Solaraguy.org and a few of our members are very interested in getting coilovers.
Their response
I have no problem developing coilovers if it is outside of something we do not offer. We do this all the time, and if you can generate some interested people then we will gladly do it. If this is something that solara community is serious about, then show us that your serious, and we will make and develop a awesome system for you guys.

I'm going to contact them about quantity, specs and pricing on Monday.

I kind of like JIC Magic myself.

Which company is this that you emailed?

If you are organizing a group buy, sorry, I'm taking part in the headers group buy going on now. Maybe in 2008, I may be interested.

looks like an interesting idea. I get worried about new companies that don't have a provne track record yet. but that is part of the risk required to save money. I am interested in hearing what they have to say about solara applications.

I like the JIC products...very expensive tho.
I wrote them several time about testing their FLT-A2-VIP Series or FLTA2-RS Custom Set Up or FLT-A2 Series. They answered me they would need someone local to do so. It would be so great !!! The spec of FLT-A2 are drop from 0.5" to 3.5"...exactly what I need for my ride in winter/summer setup ! Would be so nice !

Do you know if AMR can offer same features in height adjustment ??

Todays reply

For us to truly do what were good at I would need a test car, but I am sure we can arrange that ourselves or find someone in the Solara community to give a helping hand. My experience has shown that if you guys truly have no good suspension options then you will help us get going in the right direction. I have not ever worked with a group of people that wanted a coilover system done without having people 100 percent on board and supportive. For example, the Saturn guys e-mailed me 2 years ago and they got about 20 people. They waited over a year for the final production units. It will not take that long with the Solara, but during that whole time people where still excited, supportive, and patient. As long as we got some good people on board and they allow us to do our job then perfect. What I am saying, we do not need flakes, we need serious people looking to get and have serious suspension made. I don't mass produce coilovers so when I make coilovers, I do it right the first time sorta thing.

The price range from my experience with the solara is about 1300.00 US dollars, and for me to break even or atleast make something we would need atleast 15 people to get this started. Give or take 200.00, if anything I have always been a lil more if not on target. I have made enough coilovers to get a pretty good guestimate. But I would say if you could find 15 people to commit in that price range we can definately get something going. This is the perfect time, cause things are a lil slow and were doing a lot of R&D right now on other applications. So this would be a great time to get another car developed.
