Does this motor have some good pickup? and good passing power, easy to accelerate and entering the freeway... etc. the normal driving needs, and fast enough to have fun with? My friend has a tC that she just might sell me if I like it. so I'm just playing with ideas. Thanks oh oh and its the 5 speed version.

It's not a bad motor, but once you turbo it from Turbonetics it does wonders for the car.
As for stock not sure.
But a tC is nice.

The Scion TC is a pretty quick car, the manual does the 0-60 in about 7.4 seconds.

Ask her for a test drive and see if you like it. :D

the 2az in the tc is fairly quick with a 5-speed mainly because it's a lighter car

but in the camry, it's a bit of a dog since the camry is a boat

the tc aren't light cars. the glass roof they have weights down the car. car weight is like 3000lbs and the solara is like 3200lbs.

the motor is a great. once it's turbo it'll haul ass. i just never got to tunes my car correctly (tuned it myself w/ af ratio) yet since im still looking for a better turbo manifold and bigger turbo. maybe even bigger engine

tC's are slow stock, but you could make one look fast.

Also you got to remember... when tracking a car its not all about the car.. the driver makes a hugh difference....

an experence driver vs a non-experence driver int he same car can cut time off on the time slip by seconds if they know what they are doing.

Reaction time and 0-60 time plays a big part in it...

just a thought
